you don't have to spend a lot of money to look good it's how you wear it
why i do what I do.....
I am now Fashion Director at Glamour magazine but following on from the success of my weekly column in the Sunday Times Style magazine I thought I would bring this page to life every week and also give you the chance to comment. This page is not for me to dictate what you should be wearing but to offer ideas on how to put wearable outfits together. Its not what you wear it's how you wear it!

TIP...for the perfect 60's look clash your retro colour keep them block for added impact but break it up with a printed boots why not try snakeskin!
TIP...I love the patent skirt of the dress it gives a tougher edge to the 60's and have layered a metallic top over the dress but the simple cut works well with the dress the black tights add an extra graphic and looks great with blue
TIP...printed jeans are becoming a huge thing I love tartan as a type of check and think clashing similar prints in different colours work really well and metallic shoes add a modern punk feel
TIP...go for all over checks and layer for a more grunge 90's look and metallic brogues break up the tonal blue colours play with different size and style of checks
TIP...I love these loose sequin trousers as they have a great punk edge to them but have dressed them down with a hoodie but adding metallic trainers (high tops essential) this becomes a cool daytime look
TIP...why not take florals into the sixties layer a blouse under a cardigan and add patent for added texture and wear with knee boots the blouse is the easiest way to wear the trend and can update most things
TIP...go quirky and clash your prints the classic and very flattering way of wearing the skirt is to tuck the top inside to accentuate your waist add a belt if the skirt doesn't do this on its own and a fab pair of stiletto boots finishes the look
TIP...for a casual approach to wearing a pencil skirt wear with a loose jumper and trainers the open knit of the jumper gives the look a more grungy feel
TIP...why not try a longer length pencil skirt its more flattering than you think and great for an evening event tuck the top into waist for a great shape, metallic shoes lift the look
I have let Javari shoes into my flat to film my ever growing shoe collection, (although am sure some of you have more than me!), where I talk about the stories behind certain pairs of shoes I have under my rail. Javari is an online shoe store and 'Shoe The Keyhole' is part of their new campaign.
To run alongside this they are doing their first ever exhibition of shoe collections from Daphne Guiness, Christian Louboutin and Nicholas Kirkwood.
It's a free day out!
4th-8th November The Loading Bay, 91 Brick Lane, London, E1 6QL
TIP...this style if dress can sometimes be very unflattering but a strong overall print is a great distraction wear with silver flats for a quirky day look
TIP...I love this jumper dress and for added length and a more flattering idea I have layered a silk dress underneath this give a slight punk feel to the outfit too
TIP...go for a midi length but wear with heels for a flattering look go for a platform to give weight to the outfit and I have clashed the prints as long as the colour tones work together the overall look works too!
TIP...leggings are the easiet and most wearable way to incorporate the trend into your wardrobe great with a simple loose jumper or t-shirt or glam it up with a hairy coat the brogues give the look a contrsating mod approach
TIP...play with print and sequin tartan is great as it gives a more punk feel to the outfit but by adding a t-shirt and sequin collar the look becomes more feminine wear with glitter heels (minus the stickers on the sole!) but the heavy style of the shoe makes the glitter seem less girly its a key shoe style for winter
TIP...play down silver sequin shorts with knitwear both fabrics look great together play with print in the jumper or keep the knit plain but a metallic boot lifts the look and stops the outfit looking too casual
Next season look out for the new collection by Antipodium was refreshing cool and wearable with great little twists that can be combined with your exising wardrobe for a fun new look! Especially loved how they used models of all ages in the show!
TIP...today I have worn the most coveted jumper this season but if this is too expensive just add a great colourful knit to your leather pencil skirt and a fab pair of heels my boots light up green when they are charged such a great statement shoe perfect for any outfit (could be good for wearing when cycling in the dark!)
