why i do what I do.....

I am now Fashion Director at Glamour magazine but following on from the success of my weekly column in the Sunday Times Style magazine I thought I would bring this page to life every week and also give you the chance to comment. This page is not for me to dictate what you should be wearing but to offer ideas on how to put wearable outfits together. Its not what you wear it's how you wear it!

The ultimate fashion accessory the shopping basket

Too posh to push....not here

Paris Fashion Week Day 6

The Highlights.....

Masculine tailoring is becoming stronger and my best advice is by a mans suit in a small size I have gone for a shorter length trouser so that it sits better with a boot and have styled with a simple jumper keeping the colour palette neutral with a touch of gold
Suit by Banana Republic
Jumper by Uniqlo
Boots by Balenciaga
Today we saw on elf my favourite jewellery designers Eddie Borgo
Inspired by blue and the blue city in Marrakesh delving deeper he realised the the blue city was a big inspiration to the interior designer Bill Willis who designed for Yves Saint Laurent and the Rolling Stones and if you are into Morrocan interiors start researching his stuff now!

Eddie's mood board

Tassels are a big part of the collection using all hand dyed fabrics

The more you stack the better it looks

Stella McCartney works knits into her collection and added a chunky white soled brogue to everything

A new label to know it's not new but start investing and this season she showcased amazing sheepskins, puffa details and silk prints, it was a huge hit and the coats are on my winter wish list!

Kenzo and their portable kitchen

The slogan back inspired by David Lynch and his films

Two of my favourite models and their show cards with what looks they are wearing for the Kenzo show

Entering the world of Charlotte Olympia #shanghai #fourties

Lots of kooky Chinese animal references

Balenciaga and tiles

Balenciaga and the branch

Jerome Dreyfuss and the cigarette box bag ( sounds like my kind of bag)

Such a great show and such great prints at Dries van Noten

The shoes at Rochas had a perfect balance of boy meets girl

And more of these shoe bag bags at Rochas too (more trend spotting!)

The hot ticket for Paris tonight was Saint Laurent with Article Monkeys sat front row in red leather trousers sipping Laurent Perrier out of the bottle

Boy meets girl at the Saint Laurent show it reminded me of a 60's spin off of Puss in Boots but here are great ways to wear a white shot next season plus get those knee high boots back too!

Tweed and glitter mixed well at Saint Laurent

Take your luck the boots are back in town (in a big way!)
