why i do what I do.....

I am now Fashion Director at Glamour magazine but following on from the success of my weekly column in the Sunday Times Style magazine I thought I would bring this page to life every week and also give you the chance to comment. This page is not for me to dictate what you should be wearing but to offer ideas on how to put wearable outfits together. Its not what you wear it's how you wear it!

The Nineties…..

This week I am getting nineties nostalgia….prints, logos, AF 1, bandanas….I can just keep going!  This week you can have the chance to WIN two iconic pieces from this decade the dungarees and a logo bag both seen below!  All you have to do is leave a comment below or retweet the blog to enter and I will announce the winner on Saturday 19th April… good luck!

TIP … firstly I have taken a hooded parka and worn this as a dress and I love this bandana print ts an iconic 90's reference but in monochrome it brings this right up to date and adding the flat sandals gives this a more modern twist and what a better way than adding a logo bag to finish the look

TIP… oversized boyfriend blazers were key in the 90's and worn with denim dungarees adds a laid back cool thats perfect for the weekend and worn with the iconic footwear of the 90's, the airforce 1 was the accessory of the moment back then but the more modern way to wear them means investing in the latest ones by Riccardo Tisci to add a bit of colour and soul to your outfit

  2. The dungarees are sooooo multi useful!!!

Team the Dungarees with a stripe Brenton crop tee and some super chunky heels for the office! Throw your hair in to a high pony tail and leave the eyes nude but the lips red!

Or for a more 90's gothic look, get a lace black body on under the dungarees and team with a velvent cross necklace. But for a twist add some super white high tops to avoid looking like a vampire!!! Keep the eyes dark and the lips berry red, add a head band and backcomb!

Or even throw the dungarees on under a large white grandad style top, wear with an African pendent and twist it up with a pair of colourful heels!!! Keep make up simple but curl your hair!!! Think Del La Soul bright!!!

To champion the style of the 90's basics of crop tops and cycling shorts, throw all your basics in the BIG bag!!! Make sure your crop tops are logo'ed!!!

Get a crop logo'ed crop top and throw along with a pair of OTT large silky trousers! The more delicate the trousers the better the contrast will highlight the look! You can burst out in to dance anytime.... Hammer time whilst the bag is on your shoulders!!!

The bag would look great whilst wearing a pair of cycling shorts and a skater dress!!! You will be a kid from Fame!!!

I love both items and think they would add to any wardrobe and fit in perfectly for the 90's era!!!
