why i do what I do.....

I am now Fashion Director at Glamour magazine but following on from the success of my weekly column in the Sunday Times Style magazine I thought I would bring this page to life every week and also give you the chance to comment. This page is not for me to dictate what you should be wearing but to offer ideas on how to put wearable outfits together. Its not what you wear it's how you wear it!

Milan Fashion Week Day 1.....

TIP...print all over the catwalks especially with a hint of tribal but for a more street look rip the sleeves off an old denim shirt and wear with a strong tribal inspired heel that wraps around the ankles and a pink metallic clutch adds a clashing colour and a modern twist again

London Fashion Week Day 3.....

TIP...the cape is the new coat this season and and worn it with a pair of jeans and silk bouse to keep the shades of blue and the snakeskin boots lift the outfit by adding a new texture to the look the red box bag adds colour but the small shape makes the outfit look more modern than being stuck in the 70's!

Country casuals.....

the day out: hunter lace up wellies are key to any country outfit the lace ups ones are a definite favourite and check shirts always come out for the weekend away collar done up and the grandad cardigan is the coat alternative and theirry lasry sunnies finish the look!
The chill out essentials: mens grey hoodie the ultimate comfort jumper and mens (gap) pyjama bottoms in a good colour can sometimes double as loose mens style trousers for day worn with tough heels makes them look laid back yet sexy (try it it works I did it for paris fashion week last season without the hoodie!)
the country walk essentials: velevet leggings (evil twin) adds a sense of dark glamour to your mundane walking outfit! a grandad cardigan is eesential in a bigger size to fit over jumpers like my mens one (zara) and hunter wellies for the added touch. the cape is the new coat so make sure you add to any outfit (urban outfitters)
Enjoy your next country escape!
