why i do what I do.....

I am now Fashion Director at Glamour magazine but following on from the success of my weekly column in the Sunday Times Style magazine I thought I would bring this page to life every week and also give you the chance to comment. This page is not for me to dictate what you should be wearing but to offer ideas on how to put wearable outfits together. Its not what you wear it's how you wear it!

Vestiaire ...a hidden gem

So I am going to let you in on a little secret (and probably upset those of you who have tried to stop this from becoming so well known!) but here it is vestiaire, where you will find amazing second hand luxury designers clothes and accessories for amazing value.  Everything gets looked over before it is sent to make sure it is all genuine and in the condition it was described and although this process can take a couple weeks from when you bought it it is well worth the wait!  Below you can see what I bought, a white leather jacket from Givenchy for £250 and a pair of new Chloe leather sandals for £200, and see how I wear them and then the best bit is that you as a reader can WIN £1000 to spend on the site by clicking on this link http://uk.vestiairecollective.com/inscription-part.shtml?idp=52 Good Luck!

When I saw this jacket on the site I knew it had to be mine!  However I wanted to make this leather jacket more feminine when I wear it and less michael jackson so have worn it with lighter colours but broken up the white tee and jacket with boyish loose striped trousers and the colourful big trainers dresses the look down but stil adds colour (it would look equally good with a simple stiletto heel) roll the trouser hems up for a more laid back approach a great daytime look am very happy with my jacket!

You cant go wrong with a pair of black leather sandals and I love that they have ankle straps to toughen them up (although make sure if you have shorter legs that this doesnt cut you off at the ankle too much) and have worn them with printed trousers (invest in some if you havent already!) and a a dark denim shirt but make sure its oversized for a more french riveria summer look the biker jacket rocks it up again and balances the leather from the sandals
