why i do what I do.....

I am now Fashion Director at Glamour magazine but following on from the success of my weekly column in the Sunday Times Style magazine I thought I would bring this page to life every week and also give you the chance to comment. This page is not for me to dictate what you should be wearing but to offer ideas on how to put wearable outfits together. Its not what you wear it's how you wear it!

  1. A silk shirt (likely in a pattern a la miu miu/'bowie' style), buttoned down to ooze that rocking sex appeal, fine jewelery in the way of thin chain necklaces and a pair pointed pumps because I love the idea of a masculine look with feminine details. A disheveled do' and last nights makeup eyes and I'd be ready for another night on the town!

  3. I love the trouser suit, it can be worn in so many different ways. I'd wear it with a slicked-back croydon facelift ponytail and big gold hooped earrings, a long-sleeved black polo neck top, vintage Moschino belt, ankle socks (with rolled hems) and brogues! Finish with staple matte red lips; keeping it classy with a nod to the nineties.

  4. I love masculine outfits at night, as long as the trousers reveal ankle. I'd wear with high, ankle boots (possibly with lacy ankle socks), my gold charm necklace with anatomically correct heart pendant and a silky shirt. Hair up and dark eyes.

  5. Hi Natalie, you look gorgeous! I'd dodge the shirt and go for a tunic-trouser look. I'd pair this gorgeous suit with a slinky devore velvet or silk-chiffon midi dress in black and heavy, gold hardware boots similar to your Balenciaga's. I'd accessorise with a chunky gold ID bracelet (or two matching gold cuffs for after hours).

  6. I'd wear the jacket as a turban and the trousers as a scarf as there is no way I could squeeze into the suit!! Love the comp though Natalie, fun to read everyone's ideas...... I'll wait for shoes and accessories! :)

  7. I would wear the suit with a sheer shirt, buttoned to the top with heavy gold jewellery to give it s feminine twist and would wear my snakeskin loafers with polka-dot tights underneath to clash with the patterning of the suit and loafers and because its so clod at the moment id wear it with my oversized grey wool jacket!

  8. I'd pair this suit with a black sheer shirt that has leather front pockets, buttoned up to the top and tucked in so its nice and smart, for the shoes, I would go for a pair of black snakeskin stiletto point toes, for accessories, an oversized black suede clutch, an Alexander McQueen skull ring, a black toy watch and the finishing touch a black wool over coat that has leather lapels, to keep warm in winter.
