why i do what I do.....

I am now Fashion Director at Glamour magazine but following on from the success of my weekly column in the Sunday Times Style magazine I thought I would bring this page to life every week and also give you the chance to comment. This page is not for me to dictate what you should be wearing but to offer ideas on how to put wearable outfits together. Its not what you wear it's how you wear it!

Stripe Shirts.....

This week I am showing you how to wear a wardrobe staple and if you don't have one yet then this is your chance to win one!  Just tell me how you would wear one and you can win the shirt from my first look so leave a comment below or tweet me @nataliehartley deadline is Saturday 9th February...good luck!

TIP... a loose oversized shirt looks great tucked into high waisted jeans this can be a flattering look but works just as well with loose jeans as long as the shirt stays oversized and I have added stripe socks which is a great detail to wear with open toe shoes when the weather is still cold and my favourite accessory for summer is the scrunchy this sequin one is perfect to dress up a bad hair day!

TIP... why not try a skinny stripe head to toe its much for french riviera chic than the heavy thick 60's stripe, keep the colour tones similar and add a bright coloured coat and masculine brogue shoes

TIP... keep things sporty and add a stripe shirt to a jersey column skirt just make sure the waist bad is tight to give you a good shape and wear with heels for height and length

  1. I would love to win the shirt! I would probably wear it with a black evening skater dress, to make it a bit more casual, then I would wear black tights and white shoes :) I would wear a gold belt and would have my make up very natural. xxx

  2. Depending on the length of it, it would look amazing on it's own as a dress, with some killer red heels and a slick of red lipstick! x

  3. I would wear the shirt under some long length denim dungarees, rolled up at the ankles with some white heeled ankle boots. I would accessorise with a red crossover satchel bag and an orange lip. x
